Mentor Training

General Training Info

  • Vocations Outreach offers a series of formation workshops to our mentors. The workshop topics include:

        1. Being Guided & Guiding Souls
        2. Personal Vocation and the Mentoring Relationship
        3. Building the Mentoring Relationship: Asking Good Questions
        4. Building the Mentoring Relationship: Empathetic Listening
        5. Mentoring in Ministry

  • We ask that all our mentors complete these workshops in their first year serving as a mentor.

  • Some of the tasks will ask you to talk about the workshop material with your “critical friend”. For this, we recommend asking one of your community members to be available to have these conversations with you.

 

Accessing the Training

  • To access the workshops, please login to your Catechetical Institute account at https://franciscanathome.com. Please save or bookmark this link!

  • Select “Vocations Outreach Mentor Training” on the left side of your dashboard.

  • Click the “start this track without a mentor” button.

  • After you hit “start this course” you will be able to click the workshop titles, listed in blue.
