My name is Sr. Mary Mediatrix of All Grace, and I am a sister of the Sisters of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT). God is faithful and I have been blessed to be a professed sister since 2006. I currently live at Christ the King Parish in Corpus Christi, Texas, and serve at Our Lady of Corpus Christi Retreat and Evangelization Center, assisting with retreats and hosting events on campus.

I grew up in Lebanon, Ohio (go Bengals!) as the third oldest of eight children. My family was very active in our parish, but I never actually considered religious life as an option. Preparing for pharmacy school at Butler University, I found myself praying the rosary with a large group of people. Full disclosure- I was not in a prayerful place at that time! But while praying, I had an instant understanding of how much God loved me and I had to respond to His love. Later that day, I told my Mom I thought that I was called to religious life but was not sure what to do. I was set to begin college in one month. She directed me to continue this path and continue to work on my prayer life. This was helpful for me, as I really didn’t communicate very much with God!

During my time in college, I found myself on a discernment retreat with the Sisters of Life in New York City. It was the first time I met young and joyful sisters! I enjoyed the retreat and their explanation of the vows. Their way of life was a further confirmation of what my heart was seeking. They advised me to finish my studies, which I did. After graduating and working as a pharmacist for one year, I understood the Lord telling me it was time to respond to His call.

I met SOLT through my older brother, who is a priest of SOLT. He encountered SOLT brothers in the seminary and after telling me the charism of each vocation serving together in missionary work, I knew this was where I was called. I didn’t know I could be in the same community as my brother! As the saying goes, if you want to see the world, join the military or religious life. I have had an ‘unusual’ path following the Lord. It surely has been an adventure!

I love religious life – living with the Blessed Sacrament in my home, living in community with other women striving to be holy, and continuing to grow in the path of wholeness and holiness. I love witnessing in the habit, as it permits me to speak about my favorite topic – Jesus! The world is hungry and nothing else is satisfying but our Lord Jesus. I’m grateful He is my Friend and Spouse and that He calls me to participate in bringing others into relationship with Him.
