My name is Sister Therese Maria Touma. I have been a religious sister in the Maronite Servants of Christ the Light community since 2010. I took my final vows in 2017. I am originally from Sydney, Australia where I grew up practicing my faith in the Maronite Catholic Church (one of the 23 Eastern Catholic Churches in communion with the Roman Catholic Church). Our rich Syriac spirituality and Divine Liturgy are such a beautiful and unique treasure!
I currently serve as the Director of Young Adults for the Eparchy of Saint Maron and the Vocation Director for my community. As part of my formation in religious life I completed my Masters in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College. I recently graduated from my Spiritual Direction Certification in Clearwater Florida with the Marian Servants of Divine Providence. This has been a blessing for my ministry and has helped me to be more equipped in serving and accompanying our people in spiritual direction.
I love to read, hike and be out in nature with my sisters. We are stationed in Dartmouth MA at our Mother of the Light Convent. To learn more about our charism and mission visit: maroniteservants.org.
